Apparently, there are kids out there with easy access to music who haven't ever really listened to the Beatles (we know, right?). In an attempt to write this atrocious wrong, the label Community Records will release an album called Beatles Reimagined, a collection of covers of the band by more contemporary artists. Inspired by the spontaneous feel of a concert they caught in Nashville, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros decided to record this no-frills, straightforward cover of "I Saw Her Standing There." It sounds awesome, thanks in particular to a little added Americana twang. If you're looking forward to this record, consider buying it - proceeds will go to youth music charities. Check it out.
