We haven't heard much from EMA, nee Erika M. Anderson, since her still-great 2011 album Past Life Martyred Saints (does anyone else still listen to "California" at least twice weekly?) but that changes today, with her new single "Satellites," our first taste from The Future's Void, a new record she'll release early in 2014. It's the perfect noise-punk jam for a post-Snowden world, with Erika's typically distorted, yearning vocals figured atop a post-apocalyptic, maximalist soundscape that sometimes sounds like mechanical movement. It's an awesome, eerie listen - check it out while you wait for the rest of the record, which still has no release date. We'll keep you posted.
