It's been a glorious Robin Pecknold filled few weeks, the Fleet Foxes frontman having just released a free EP out of the blue, and promoting his band's forthcoming new album Helplessness Blues with new tunes. Thus far, we've heard the title track and “Battery Kinzie” and now there's another taste to one of the most anticipated albums of the year, another gorgeous harmony driven, folk ridden ballad called “Bedouin Dress.”
Customary to the band's usual m.o., the song starts slowly, rich in uplifting acoustic swagger, growing grander like an orchestral arrangement with various different sections. It's got a bit of a country banjo tinge to it, and like all Fleet Foxes songs, it's absolutely lovely. Helplessness Blues comes out via Sub Pop on May 3rd.
