Last week, we previewed four songs that would appear on Richard D. James' forthcoming new album as Aphex Twin, his first in thirteen years, Syro. Along with songs like “4 bit 9d api+e+6? and “2010 XMAS_EveT10 (thanaton3 mix)” stood a live version of "mini pops 67 (source field mix)" which he performed in Manchester. Now, the studio version of the song is officially out, after Zane Lowe premiered it on his radio show for BBC Radio 1. As James said in a recent interview with FADER, he's been working on this LP for the last six, seven years. He also mentioned that we can expect to hear more from the elusive cult icon. Sweet.
