Jagwar Ma - Man I Need + new LP

jagwar ma howlin

We fell in love with Australia's Stone Roses-revivalists Jagwar Ma (on paper, the producer Jono Ma and singer Gabriel Winterfield, but the producer Ewan Pearson and percussionist Stella Mozgawa of Warpaint help out too) right around the time they released "The Throw," with its super-catchy intro section and intriguingly experimental coda. That seemed to work as a good model for the band, so they're doing it again on new single "Man I Need," which could be an instant indie radio hit if it weren't for the fact that it's ten delirious minutes long, with a house-y, abstract end section that'll make you dizzy. It serves as the first single from the band's debut album Howlin', out June 10. We can't wait to hear more from these guys - we'll keep you updated.
