Katy B - "5 AM"

Just in time for autumn's everpresent moodiness, here's a club-ready if somewhat morose jam from Katy B, who's seemingly incapable of making a bad song. "5 AM," the first song to be released from an as-yet-unannounced new record from Katy, exists on the same plane as Robyn's "Dancing On My Own" - over a dense, tropical, top 40 radio-ready beat, Katy sings about seeking an ideal dance partner and confidante for the night and looking in all the wrong places. That lush middle section, when stuttering edits of her voice lead the way into an a capella break, is truly fantastic. Check it out - we'll keep you posted on album news as we hear it.
