Next week, Netflix will release their Nina Simone documentary, What Happened, Miss Simone? Several musicians have covered songs of Simone’s to accompany the doc on a compilation called Revisited: A Tribute to Nina Simone. Notably, Ms. Lauryn Hill has recovered six songs for the comp, including this jaw-dropping cover of one of Simone’s signature songs, “Feeling Good”.

Of Simone, Ms. Hill said, “Because I fed on this music, both hers and lovers like her, like my basic food, I believed I always had a right to have a voice. Her example is clearly a form of sustenance to a generation needing to find theirs. What a gift.”
