Hear the Nashville outfit's reworking of the somber Bad Blood cut

London quartet Bastille's "Oblivion," from their latest LP, Bad Blood, is a quiet, somber ballad, one that painfully stretches through frontman Dan Smith's reflective vocals and layers of strings. With Nashville-based Wild Cub's reworking, however, we're presented with a different type of song, one that uses rhythmic tendencies and tropical Afro-style beats to get its point across. And though the vocals, nor its premise, aren't altered, the mood is undoubtedly shifted here, taking this song about inevitable oblivion to the beaches of Jamaica (at least, that's how I envision it).
