Listen to Johnny Jewel's "The Other Side of Midnight" and Chromatics' "Closer to Grey"

More gems from Johnny Jewel's SoundCloud.

As though Johnny Jewel hadn't been prolific and generous enough lately on top of announcing he's gearing up to release a new record with his band Chromatics, he's just shared two more exclusive tracks from his extensive vault. Now you can listen to his own 31-minute instrumental piece "The Other Side of Midnight," which he calls "electronic wall paper for your dreams," and a new Chromatics track called "Closer to Grey" which will not appear on their forthcoming Dear Tommy. Both are great, but you should probably not actually listen to "The Other Side of Midnight" after midnight unless you like nightmares. Check out both songs below while you wait for Dear Tommy, out "in time for Valentine's Day" - though something tells us we'll be hearing more material before then.
