Of Montreal have been quiet since least year's lousy with sylvianbriar, but that was probably because they were prepping another new record, Aureate Gloom, which'll be out early in 2015. Frontman Kevin Barnes has said it was penned during a tough, emotional period. They've just shared the lead single "Bassem Sabry," named after the Egyptian journalist and activist, which you can listen to below while you wait for the rest of the LP. We're loving those orchestral arrangements and soaring group vocals. Aureate Gloom is out March 3rd.
Our first taste of their upcoming Aureate Gloom.
