Listen: The Drums, "Magic Mountain"

Also, tour dates!

This is not the Drums I recall from 80s revival anthems like "Money." With "Magic Mountain," their first new song in nearly three years, they go from surf rock to channeling Joy Division; they get a bit darker, a bit more psychedelic, and, from the sound of it, a bit more pissed off. During an interview with Noisey, founding member Jonathan Pierce said the track is a "sparkling reflection of our last three years. It’s about shedding off what binds you and protecting what’s good, finding a safe place away from everyone and everything that wants to destroy you.” Check it out below, as well as a score of new tour dates. No word yet on if it's attached to a new album, though it's fairly safe to assume that it is.
