Listen to Best Cost & Wavves' Summer Is Forever EP

Best Coast’s Bethany Cosentino and Wavves’ Nathan Williams, the first couple of scuzzy stoner lo-fi, are bringing their respective awesome bands on tour together this winter, and to mark this occasion they’ve compiled a split 7” of new songs, appropriately titled Summer is Forever.

Best Coast’s cut, “When You Wake Up,” is as bright and sunny as anything on Crazy for You – a song that feels like its subject, sleeping late in the sun through the window.

Wavves’ side, “Stained Glass (Won’t You Let Me Into Your Heart),” is typical of that genre-busting sixties-girl-group vibe Williams has been steadily leaning toward in the past few months – it’s one of the band’s best songs yet, but it’s totally left-field.

You can pick up a physical copy by going to one of the live dates (the 7” also includes an awesome track by buzzy opening band No Joy, “Hawaii”) or check it out on iTunes.
