Looks like British Phonographic Industry is once again ready to initiate another album in the annals of UK music history. The Mercury Prize, which was established as a more “discerning” alternative to the GRAMMYs-clone BRIT Awards, will be given out on November 20. The last five winners were: Young Fathers’ Dead in 2014, James Blake’s Overgrown in 2013, Alt-J’s An Awesome Wave in 2012, PJ Harvey’s Let England Shake in 2011, and the xx’s xx in 2010.
