Listen: Twerps - "I Don't Mind"

The band's latest single from their upcoming Range Anxiety.

The Aussie band Twerps are gearing up to release a new record called Range Anxiety, the title of which instantly made me think of Pavement's "Range Life." When you listen to Range Anxiety's second single, "I Don't Mind," you'll probably hear some Pavement-ian shambolic guitar, and you'll hear Twerps evoke the sunny, nostalgic guitar haze of other '90s college rock radio alums, like Stereolab or Yo La Tengo. And our favorite thing about this band remains intact - listen closely to the ghostly, distorted guitar hum underlying everything. Check it out while you wait for the rest of Range Anxiety, out January 27th via Twerps' new home, Merge Records.
