The new Mad Max film is out today, with striking visuals, an unusual narrative for a summer blockbuster, and a long string of hosannas from critics to back it up. The film's booming score, composed entirely by Tom Holkenborg, a.k.a. Junkie XL, picks up the slack when the notoriously taciturn Mad Max gives audiences little to work with.
This is Holkenborg's second major film score in 2015, having previously scored the Liam Neeson-vehicle Run All Night. In 2014 he released the high-profile score for Divergent.
