Watch a new video from the iconic rapper/producer, which features a verse from his son, David Blake Jr.

We haven't heard much from DJ Quik since 2011's beautiful the Book of David, save for a few random collaborations and singles. As the predecessor to that album, his joint LP with Kurupt, Blaqkout, turns five on June 9th, Quik is back with a new song, which features a verse from his own son, David Blake Jr. It also features Aftermath's Bishop Lamont. "Trapped on the Track" bares more in common with Quik's 2009 effort, an experimental, eccentric number that, per the Compton rapper's m.o., sounds very much unlike anything that is currently trending in hip hop. Watch the video for "Trapped on the Track" below; no word on if Quik is planning a new album or not.
