New: Hot Chip, "Go Bang" (Arthur Russell Cover)

Master Mix: Red Hot + Arthur Russell will also feature contributions from Robyn, Blood Orange, Arcade Fire's Richard Reed Parry, and many more

A few weeks ago, we were treated to a new Sufjan Stevens cover, "A Little Lost," as part of a tribute album to American cellist, composer, singer, and musician Arthur Russell, who died of AIDS in 1992. The compilation is being organized by the Red Hot Organization, which spreads AIDS awareness in pop culture, and, we learned, is jam packed with all-star contributing artists, including Robyn, Arcade Fire's Richard Reed Parry, Scissor Sisters, Phosphorescent, Cults, Blood Orange, Neon Indian's Alan Palomo - operating under his VEGA INTL moniker - and, perhaps most excitedly, Hot Chip. We now have Hot Chip's contribution, a frolicking, rhythmic ten-minute-plus funk cover of Russell's disco classic "Go Bang," which he released under his dance monkier Dinosaur L. Hear it below; Master Mix: Red Hot + Arthur Russell drops on October 21st.
