Over the weekend, a brand new Jai Paul song was premiered on UK radio. The song is rumored to be called "Flip Out", though some sources still tag it "Untitled".
"Flip Out", or whatever it's called, is Jai Paul's follow-up to one of year's best singles, "BTSTU". In its current form, the new song sounds like a mélange of interesting but sometimes dissonant ideas, like some form of musical ADHD brought upon pressure to live up to a really, really great first single.
Of course, this sounds like a rough demo (but then again, why is it on the radio?) and the radio rip's sound quality isn't optimal, but it's very clear that the focused, almost clinical precision of "BTSTU" is missing here.
When it's fully fleshed, this song has the potential to be a real club banger, like an Eastern-leaning Katy B track.
