Julianna Barwick composes the sort of music that is ultimately destined for a refined palette. It often takes several listens to be able to rustle through its intricate layers and truly hear the sonic soundscapes of Barwick's imagination. Her latest, "Meet You At Midnight," personifies this premise quite candidly, as Barwick stretches inaudible words across four minutes of ambient music that is both beautiful and sparse. The track is the first from her upcoming EP, Rosabi, named after a beer she's created in conjunction with craft brewery Dogfish Head. Rosabi (the beer) includes red rice and wasabi flavors, while Rosabi (the album) will be a limited-edition LP, of which only 1,000 copies will be made. Digitally, it drops on June 3rd, via Dead Oceans.
