As Kitty Pryde, Kathryn-Leigh Beckwith was a formidable alternative rapper who called herself “the jail bait Hayley Williams of Rap.” As Kitty, the Brooklyn-based rapper is hardly a rapper at all, though she did keep subtle hints of the genre in her latest tracks like "Emobounce" and "Marijuana." With "Miss U," however, it seems she's completed her transformation from rap star to pop star, releasing a bumping electro-pop club-friendly number that will startle and impress you the way Vic Mensa did with "Down on my Luck." Kitty handles it pretty well, but I'm not going to lie, the rap world will definitely miss her. Hear "Miss U" below:
