  • Vic Mensa has released a new EP, The Manuscript today. The rapper has called the four-song release a “capsule.” The EP features Pusha T on “OMG”, Mr. Hudson on “Almost There”. It was produced by Pharrell, Malik Yusef, No I.D., and 1500 or Nothin. Mensa promises a new album will be out this summer. Stream it via Spotify above. Apple Music users go here.
  • Gorillaz have shared a new song, even though their Humanz LP came out just a few weeks ago. “Sleeping Powder” is, presumably, one of the “40 or 45” tracks that did not make it onto the album.
  • Listen to Oneohtrix Point Never’s Cannes Award-winning collaboration with Iggy Pop, “The Pure and the Damned” from the upcoming crime film starring Robert Pattinson, Good Time. OPN’s original soundtrack is out August 11 via Warp.
  • Arcade Fire frontman Win Butler (who sometimes deejays as DJ Windows 98) has remixed Beak’s latest single “Sex Music”. Beak is the revived experimental band from Portishead co-founder Geoff Barrow. The single is out digitally and on a 7" tomorrow. You can listen to the original, as well as “Win Butler’s ‘Knight Rider’ Remix”, above.
  • Finally, Iron and Wine have announced a new album called Beast Epic. The 11-track LP is out August 25 on Sub Pop. It will be Sam Beam’s first album of original songs since 2013’s Ghost on Ghost. Beam has shared the first single “Call It Dreaming”. Pre-order the album here.
