New Music: Dr. Dre, Waxahatchee, Moses Sumney, A. Savage (Parquet Courts)

Dr. Dre returns with a blistering new track, “Gunfiya”, debuted last night on the first part of the HBO documentary on Dre and Jimmy Iovine, The Defiant Ones. If you missed it on TV or don’t have HBO, you can check out the track below. Dre’s supposedly final album, Compton, came out in 2015. 

Katie Crutchfield is streaming her new album under her nom de studio Waxahatchee, in its entirety, about a week ahead of its release. Listen to Out of the Storm on NPR.

Moses Sumney has finally announced his debut album. It’s called Aromanticism. The album follows two EPs, 2014’s Mid-City Island, and last year’s noteworthy Lamentations. His excellent new single, “Doomed”, will appear on the album. Aromanticism is out September 22 on Jagjaguwar. 

Parquet Courts frontman Andrew Savage has announced his solo debut as A. Savage. Thawing Dawn will be out October 13. Listen to the album’s first offering, “Winter in the South”, below.
