Taylor Swift has released the follow-up to "Shake It Off," the first single from her forthcoming new album, 1989, which came alongside a controversial music video. While Swift has tried her hand at a variety of pop genres, the latest, "Out of the Woods," which is not a single but, according to Swift, represents the album quite candidly, sounds more like HAIM or CHVRCHES than following Swift's usual motifs. Written by fun./Bleachers member Jack Antonoff, it's an uplifting pop anthem, which he says is about "the fragility of some relationships." At least Swift is sticking to what she knows, content-wise. Hear a studio-quality version of the song below; 1989 is out on October 27th via Big Machine.
