REC'D: Iceage - "Glassy Eyed, Dormant and Veiled"

Listen to our favorite track so far from Plowing Into the Field of Love.

I've loved every song Iceage have shared from their fantastically reinventive third LP Plowing Into the Field of Love, but this one might be my favorite yet - "Glassy Eyed, Dormant and Veiled," in which some distorted, gloomy horns (yes, horns) compete with Elias Ronnenfelt's vocals and his band invoking one of their most unsettling, slow-building death rumbles yet. It's a stunning listen - don't allow yourself for one second to believe that his band going kind of country-punk means that Ronnenfelt's presence has gotten any less intense; you can practically feel his accusatory stare when he cries "Don't think I didn't hear you coming home last night." Check it out - Plowing Into the Field of Love is out October 7th.
