Revelation of the day - "Tong Zi Dan" is a new Simian Mobile Disco song, yes, but, following in the band's tradition of naming songs after weird foods (you may remember their 2010 album Delicacies), it's also a traditional snack from the southern Chinese city Dongyang whose name translates to "virgin boy egg" - ie. it's a hardboiled egg cooked in the urine of young boys! The band's interpretation is a sexy, undulating, bass-heavy eight-minute trance jam, perfect to crank up the next time you're feeling culinarily adventurous. "Tong Zi Dan" is part of a single that's out October 21 - stay tuned.
