"City," the latest track from Summer Camp's new EP, Always is a massive departure from the duo's earlier sun-soaked, Saturdays=Youth-indebted material. It was produced by and features Hal Williams, one half of Odd Future's finest production duo The Jet Age of Tomorrow. Much like the best music coming out of the Odd Future camp, "City" pulsates forward with a particularly hazy cloud rap backdrop. It's murky and dirty, like the sounds of a far away dance club heard through the rain. All of this is betrayed by the crisp urgency of Elizabeth Sankey's voice, showcased here in perfect disco diva form.
