Taylor Swift has shared her first piece of new music since 1989 in 2014—a collaboration with Zayn called “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever”. The track came together for the upcoming soundtrack for Fifty Shades Darker, the sequel to Fifty Shades of Grey. The track is Taylor Swift’s closest approximation to R&B yet. After going full-pop with her last album, Swift apparently has her sights on “a real mix of edgier hip-hop and R&B sounds” for her next album, making the internet feel uncomfortable all over again.
