On October 10th, New York City's The Golden Filter and Norwegian director Kristoffer Borgli will release a short film called Syndromes that centers around "a girl with unique talents, entwined in an elite underworld only known to the wealthy". The electro-pop group recorded six songs that inspired the visuals. A short teaser clip has been going around for a few days, but now we have the first song from Syndromes called "Mother", in a full length trailer.
The song is tense. And of course it is, the video depicts a young girl leaving her mother and staying with what we can assume is her wealthy father. In a sense, it almost reminds me of Sofia Coppola's mostly boring and aimless film Somewhere, though with an off-kilter, supernatural twist.
Syndromes will be released by the Golden Filter's very own label, Perfectly Isolated. A limited edition vinyl LP soundtrack with a copy of the film and a signed poster will be available on October 10th here. Watch the trailer below:
