Don't think Alison Mosshart has neglected her original band. Though she's been working vicariously with Jack White and The Dead Weather, releasing two full lengths in two years, the rock n roll vanguard is back with cohort Jamie Hince, promoting their fourth LP, Blood Pressures, as The Kills.
The duo have just dropped the first single, “Satellite,” exhibiting the downtempo, punk swagger that they've become known for, but also sounding more polished and gentle on the ears, building off songs like “Tape Song” and “U.R.A. Fever” from 2008's Midnight Boom. It's aggressive and bass heavy, with Hince's distorted backup vocals giving Mosshart's even more character, housing a bad ass guitar solo and one of the catchiest hooks The Kills have ever come out with.
Blood Pressures is out April 5th in the U.S. via Domino Records.
