The Knux - "She's So Up"

Since the days of Limp Bizkit and Kid Rock, rock-rap hasn't really been in style. New Orleans brothers Kentrell and Alvin Lindsey a.k.a. The Knux seem occupied on changing that. The duo have now returned to the forum after their debut, 2008's Remind Me In 3 Days, and last year's Fuck You EP, dropping the first single from their still untitled sophomore effort, called “She's So Up.”

The song blends their Southern, Three 6 Mafia sounding rhymes with a dirty garage-rock backdrop that is meant to sound like “the Stones mingled with the Clash.” While that comparison doesn't exactly take, the track is indeed heavier than electro based songs like “Cappuccino” that helped break them into the public eye.
