The National "Sin-Eaters"

"Sin-Eaters" is a new b-side from the National's latest seven inch, and one of my favorite songs of the year, "Bloodbuzz Ohio". All and all, "Sin-Eaters" is your typical National nosh, worthy of Boxer or even Alligator inclusion.

The song's delightfully moody extended outro, if you can call it that, is not only impressive but also adventurous in the realm of the National, somewhat recalling the ominous theme from Scorsese's Shutter Island. The thought of a National song in a Scorsese movie is a fascinating one, actually. Listen to "Sin-Eaters" below:

You can order the National's "Bloodbuzz Ohio" here, out May 4th. Pre-order their upcoming LPHigh Violet here and get a "City Lights" tee-shirt.
