Youth Lagoon - "Worms"

Youth Lagoon Worms

If you've ever heard any recorded sounds from outer space, the record label Lefse's new project should be very exciting to you - they'll release an album this year called The Space Project, which features 14 different artists using different sounds from space in new, original songs. Our first taste from it is Youth Lagoon's "Worms," which apparently uses sounds from the rings of Uranus (don't laugh). It's a great song, showing off Trevor Powers' knack for weaving beautiful music out of a collage of very weird sounds, not to mention his lovely, charming lyrics ("I could be an astronaut if earth let go of me"). We're psyched to hear more from this project - check out "Worms" in the meantime.
