Dream pop advocates Victoria Legrand and Alex Scally a.k.a. Beach House premiered a new song when they played a gig in New York a while back, and than played it again whilst in Minehead, U.K. for the Animal Collective curated ATP Festival.
Last week, the duo was in London for another ATP Festival (this one curated by Portishead) and played the “experimental” song again, though a thoroughly reworked version of it. It's fascinating to watch the evolution of the nameless new song from the collection of videos available; the latest, however, finds Beach House taking the heavy percussive beat down a notch, and presenting it as a hazy recollection of sorts, powered by Legrand's awesome vocals.
