When folk luminary and culturally diverse virtuoso Zach Condon, the brains behind one of the most beloved indie bands around, Beirut, announced a full on international tour, there was speculation among fans that there would hopefully be a new album, and soon. And the rumors were confirmed true when Condon himself announced that his third proper full length is due sometime this summer, the follow up to 2009's double EP's March Of The Zapotec, and the electronically infused Holland.
A few nights ago, at Virginia's The NorVa, the band premiered a few new tracks from the yet untitled LP to a very enthusiastic crowd, including a song about Condon's hometown, “Santa Fe,” and another song, whose title appears to be "Port of Call". Check out live footage below, and get stoked.
