New: Chromatics - "Candy"

One of our most anticipated records of 2012 is Kill for Love, the upcoming LP from Portland’s Chromatics, thanks to the band’s frequent leaking of sexy, darkwave synthpop bangers accompanied by creepy-gorgeous kaleidoscopic videos from the filmmaker Alberto Rossini.

Due to mastering issues, the record’s release has been delayed from its initial January release date, but the band’s promised to release more teaser tracks to tide us over – and their fourth single, “Candy,” continues to get us psyched. Like its precedents, it’s like the seething, foggy soundtrack to a rainy-night black-and-white film noir, all new-wavey bass throb and come-hither lounge-singer vocals from frontwoman Ruth Radelet. Check out the track and its attendant video below.

In case you missed it, here is their cover of Neil Young's "Into The Black," which will also appear on the album.
