Video: Chromatics - These Streets Will Never Look the Same

Hold on a second while we check – yep, Chromatics’ impossibly slow-burning aural David Lynch film Kill for Love is still one of our favorite records of the year. We wouldn’t say we’re especially partial to new single “These Streets Will Never Look the Same” (mostly because we’re partial to the whole record), but we do love its “Edge of Seventeen” groove, distorted vocals, and fuzzed-out synths that sound like ghost transmissions. We’re also loving its video – Alberto Rossini, who made a handful of preview clips for the record, also takes on directorial duties here; fitting the track’s nocturnal, solitary vibe, he shoots the band driving and wandering around the empty streets of Las Vegas, Mexico City, and Montreal. Check it out.
