Fleetwood Mac, The Doobie Brothers and The Eagles. I encountered all of those bands by way of my dad's cd collection, and they seemed to have influenced the Daft Punk album ever so subtly, if Todd Edwards is to be believed. In fact, if Todd Edwards is to be believed, Random Access Memories is going be one of the best albums ever recorded. The project of recording it with live instruments in Daft Punk's California studios for three weeks actually made the veteran producer actually leave his lifelong home of Jersey for Southern California.
May 21 is the date we're all waiting for. I hope it makes me move to Los Angeles as well.
