Earlier this week the Dirty Projectors returned after nearly four years of silence with some snippets of new music, and now we have a full song—a soul song—from the band. It’s called “Keep Your Name” and it comes with a video directed by Dave Longstreth and Kanye West’s creative director Elon Rutberg. There’s lots interesting about the song, not least of which the fact that it samples a pitched-up sample of the Projectors’ own song “Impregnable Question”. (Though I’m sure everyone will be talking about the pitched-down Longstreth. It’s like Frank Ocean’s “Nikes” in reverse.)
