Odd couple Jamie xx and Gil Scott Heron’s collaborative record We’re New Here—Gil provided the tracks, from his 2010 stunner I’m New Here, and Jamie provided the post-dubstep flavor—is awesome, and we know it. First single “I’ll Take Care of U” is one of our favorites, and the video, a beautifully-shot peek into the life of a female boxer and her struggle to perform in her sport while raising her son in New York City. It’s gorgeous and dizzying, and the chopped-up distance of the song fits perfectly. Check it out – you’ll want to watch a few times.
