"All Day," the song Kanye talked about in GQ, the song that was supposed to be his new album's lead single back in September of last year, is back on! In light of the acoustic McCartney ballads "Only One" and "FourFiveSeconds," we weren't sure if the loud, abrasive "All Day"—which sounds like Yeezus at its angriest—still had a place at the table. I guess we forgot that the first rule of #YeezySeason is "Forget what you know about Yeezy."
On Wednesday night, Kanye took the stage (with a mob of people in black hoodies) at the BRIT Awards—affectionately known to Americans as the British GRAMMYs—to deliver an epic, chaotic performance of "All Day." Visually, the performance was a bit messier than we're used to from latter-day Kanye, but we think that may have been the point. Nevertheless it was striking, complete with this #YeezySeason's signature, ominous white quadrilateral backdrop (not the first timeKanye's used this imagery), and gigantic flamethrowers. Check it out below:
BTW, if you were wondering, the guy singing with Kanye is Allan Kingdom. Congratulations, Allan.
