We first heard Damon Albarn's "Lonely Press Play" when he performed it with a string quartet and acoustic guitar in a cafe at Sundance, but he's finally released the studio version, and it's a completely different animal. Built up around a backbone of shuffling electronic sounds and DIY-sounding percussion, Albarn adds layers of graceful piano, guitar, and vocal into an end product that sounds like an eerie post-singularity lullaby. The track comes with a very fitting video shot by Albarn himself on his tablet while traveling the world. Check it out - remember, you can grab his forthcoming album Everyday Robots starting April 29.
After premiering it live, Damon Albarn shares the studio version and video for "Lonely Press Play."
