After winning critics' over with last year's incredibly self-assured and impeccably presented Wildewoman, Lucius are spinning their vintage girl-group gold for festival audiences this summer. We were awestruck when we caught them at New York's Governors Ball earlier this month. In what amounted to one of our favorite musical moments of the entire weekend, we saw firsthand how Lucius converted a lawn full of relaxed listeners into fans, with brilliant dual vocals on Wildewoman tracks “Turn It Around” and especially “Go Home,” which gave us the best kind of chills.
We are reminded of those chills when we watch their performance of "Don't Just Sit There" for Dodge's #NextUp series, which catches the band warming up for their upcoming Lollapalooza appearance. If it goes anything like their performance at Governors Ball, don't expect Lucius to remain Brooklyn's best kept secret.
