Pop pixie and on-the-down-low superhero Miley Cyrus hit the stage at the Adult Swim upfronts at Terminal 5 in New York last night. First thing's first; for our non-TV biz insider readers (via Wiki):

In the North American television industry, an upfront is a meeting hosted at the start of important advertising sales periods by television network executives, attended by the press and major advertisers. It is so named because of its main purpose, to allow marketers to buy television commercial airtime "up front", or several months before the television season begins.

Ms. Cyrus used the Adult Swim upfronts to debut a raunchy new track with the Flaming Lips called “Tiger Dreams”. Could their long-rumored collaborative album finally be on its way? Is Miley Cyrus finally ready to put her money where her mouth is and release a rock record? Only she knows, but you can watch Miley and the Flaming Lips debut the downright Tarantinoan “Tiger Dreams” below:

In keeping with the nasty energy, Miley was then moved to cover Khia’s early-Aughts classic “My Neck, My Back (Lick It)”.  And we're really happy someone was there to document this very important moment in our culture:

In related news, Cyrus shared another Backyard Session for her charity organization, The Happy Hippie Foundation. This time she was joined by fellow pop star Ariana Grande. They sat on a green inflatable sofa, donning adorable pajama onesies, flirted a little and performed a sweet acoustic rendition of Crowded House's “Don’t Dream It’s Over”.  Watch below:
