THE GOLDEN FILTER SYNDROMES

The Golden Filter is the project of an Australian singer and Ohioan beatmaker, and now they’ve broken through even more international borders to collaborate on a short film called SYNDROMES with the Norwegian director Kristoffer Borgli.

You can stream the set of new songs the band recorded for the soundtrack – they’re complex, considered nuggets of Balearic-inspired electro bliss, building arpeggiated synth and piano layers onto throbbing house-y drum machine and the underwater echo of Penelope Trappes’s lithe vocal acrobatics. They’re all worth a listen or two, but the effortless toe-tapping pop of “Mother” is the most immediate. Don’t forget you can stream the short film too.
