Rihanna performs four career-spanning medleys at VMAs—watch

Publish date:

Rihanna was this year’s recipient of the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at the VMAs. In recent years, winners of this award have been given ample amounts of airtime to summarize their careers with a greatest hits medley. Well, Rihanna has (so far) fourteen number one smashes, so a single medley just isn’t enough to cover even most of them. So she performed four of them.

You can watch the first one over at MTV.com, where she mostly danced her way through a breathless mishmash of “Don't Stop the Music”, “Only Girl”, “We Found Love”, and “Where Have You Been”.

The next three follow. This is the new American Songbook, folks.

“Rude Boy”, “What's My Name”, and “Work”. Watch here.

“Needed Me”, “Pour It Up”, and “Bitch Better Have My Money”. Watch here.

“Stay”, “Diamonds”, and “Love on the Brain”. Watch here.
