The Knife have been on an epic North American tour as of late, promoting last year's excellent Shaking the Habitual. Closing off their tour, after back-to-back performances at New York's Terminal 5 last night, the Knife proceeded to the Westway in the West Village, according to Brooklyn Vegan. There, they took part in a little karaoke, and frontwoman Karin Dreijer Andersson was persuaded to come on stage and sing "Heartbeats," (after a group of karaoke goers already busted it out) one of the Knife's earlier gems, and one that's been noticeably absent from the tour.
The plot thickens. Bill Murray, who earlier that evening was playing piano with Emma Stone at a NYC bar - apparently Sharron van Etten was there too - was at Westway at the same time, and was dancing along to Dreijer Andersson as she karaoked her own song. Reaffirming the age-old notion: no one is more awesome than Bill Murray.
