It's interesting to think of recorded music as "small signatures in time." Nicolas Jaar says that it gives songs "a full life of their own." Given that his albums and mixes all seem to have an organic feel that's hard to pin down, it feels appropriate to think of his music as alive and occupying different spaces in time.
