Recent Shady Records member Yelawolf – damn does he have more tatts than Weezy? – has just released a video for “Good To Go,” a highlight from his immensely popular Trunk Muzik 0-60 mixtape. Featuring UGK's very own Bun B, the track showcases Yelawolf rapping in a speed hitherto unheard of since Twista in his heyday, and B following suit, rather than his usual slower-paced manner, where he accentuates every syllable. The beat is an eerie country anthem, sounds like Three 6 Mafia vs Birdman, finding Wolf paying homage to recently deceased UGK member Pimp C. The video is chock-full of flashing lights, Cadillacs and hot girls in pink bikinis. Welcome to the South.
Trunk Muzik 0-60 is now available on iTunes, and Yelawolf's forthcoming Shady debut, Radioactive, will be out sometime this year.
